Temple B’nai Sholom Cemetery Info, Memorial & Honorary Dedication Opportunities
Cemetery Information & Dedication OpportunitiesHonoring the memories of those who’ve gone before us is one of Judaism’s most important values. We also have the tradition of commemorating our celebration of other life cycle events – weddings, anniversaries, births, and more. Temple B’nai Sholom members have many opportunities to honor both traditions. Maple Hill Cemetery PlotsHistoric Maple Hill Cemetery near downtown Huntsville’s historic district has been the final resting place of generations of Temple members. The congregation currently owns a limited number of plots adjacent to the “Jewish section” of the cemetery. The plots are available for purchase as follows:
There are also plots available for purchase at the Twickenham cemetery. The Guidelines for Funeral Arrangements and Mourning Practices of Temple B’nai Sholom, dated 1999 will govern your purchase. The Committee is in the process of revising these guidelines. If you are interested in purchasing any plots, please contact the Cemetery Chairperson, Sara Crocker. Dedication OpportunitiesWith the exception of the lighted memorial plates and the tree leaves, monies from which will remain in the General Fund, all other receipts from these sales will go into the Capital Improvements Fund.
